Reflexology in Bristol

Reflexology is a natural, holistic therapy. It has been used successfully for thousands of years by cultures from all around the world. It is based on the idea that the feet, hands or face are mini maps of the body and that there are points or reflexes which relate to the vital organs, glands or structures of the body. For example, on our feet, the big toe is the head and at the base of the big toe are reflexes for the neck.

During a treatment, the therapist uses specific thumb and finger techniques to apply pressure to the reflexes on the feet. This helps clear blockages and congestion in the body, which in turn allows the body to rebalance and be healthy (the blockages or congestion may have arisen from an accident, injury or illness). When the body is not working in harmony, we are more prone to infection which can manifest as colds, headaches and fatigue. Reflexology is an extremely relaxing and revitalising treatment and is suitable for people of all ages.
