Cherry Orchards can provide a safe supportive environment and has the policies required by the Care Standards Act (these can be viewed upon request). All rooms are single and of minimum 10m2. A personal door key is available. We offer full board and lodging, laundry facilities and a full programme of activities

Cherry Orchards operates a key worker system. Key Workers will meet with you regularly and help to plan an individual programme, which is created to address your individual needs and interests. ICPA’s (Integrated Care Programme Approach) are arranged every 6 months (minimum) to review your care.

Daily gatherings and regular house meetings are arranged for residents to participate in, and contribute to, the operation of the care home. Weekly opportunities are given to all residents to be involved in menu making and meal preparation.

Cherry Orchards welcomes visitors and guests. It is however in keeping with preserving the privacy and security of the community that all visitors are made known to the Management Group in advance and that this information is shared with everyone. Cherry Orchards cannot provide overnight accommodation for residents’ family members or friends.

Cherry Orchards believes in the potential of each individual and will respect you as a whole person with strengths and weaknesses. The philosophical foundation of our community life is based on Anthroposophy. We do not expect any resident to subscribe to this philosophy and we have full respect for the religious and moral beliefs of each person with whom we live and work. Individual arrangements for religious worship can be accommodated
